Working out at Home

Writing by Rianna on Wednesday, 23 of July , 2008 at 7:04 pm

I’ve been contemplating lately as to whether or not I should go join a gym or try out the local Bikrams for $30 unlimited for 2 weeks for brand new students. I’ve got such a busy schedule and my free time usually only ever is in the wee mornings for the whole entire week however I usually spend those wee mornings fast asleep from my exhausting day. I’m afraid that if I decide to join a gym than my money would go to waste because really, I hardly have anytime at all to drive down to the gym I currently work out at. I’ve had my 12 stub pass that my Dad bought me at least a year ago and so far I’ve only used it 3 times. Anyway, a year and a half ago my boyfriend purchased me some work out DVD’s because of my hectic schedule. I didn’t bother to use them of course and so they were stuffed with a whole pile of other DVD’s that I had collected over the years. They were soon forgotten, until yesterday evening that is.

I’ve got 2 DVD sets that I have fallen in love with!

Pick Your Spot Pilates

I swear, this DVD is awesome! My core area was burning after the 10 minute Pilates work out! I plan to do this religiously for the rest of the time my Parents are gone. They’ve got their gigantic television, the dvd player and a huge space for my yoga mat and I, lol. I’ll find another spot soon after they arrive.

HIP HOP ABS

With Shaun T’s 3 T’s in this DVD, Tilt, tuck and tighten, you can achieve the abs you have always wanted! Honestly, I have never had so much fun working out! Ralph and I tried it out last night and we had so much fun. At the end of the 30 minute workout we were sweating so much! Can’t wait to keep this going. I just finished doing his 30 minute fat burning cardio DVD and I feel awesome. So far I’ve done the 30 minute cardio work out for 3 days, 2 times a day.

So far, so good. I’ve kept up with my DVD’s and have been motivated to do them everyday. I’ve never felt so healthy! I want to get back to the weight I achieved a few years ago! There is one more DVD that I really REALLY want to purchase. My Aunt purchased the DVD and lost so much weight! It’s called Turbo Jam and it is similar to my Hip Hop Abs DVD except that it mixes Kick Boxing into the whole work out! It sounds like so much fun. Anyway, just wanted to share because I am really happy with how I feel now and I’m sure for those of you who have such a busy schedule like me will find that work out DVD’s are extremely helpful and fun.

Getting a Grip on Life, Mine to be exact

Writing by Rianna on Tuesday, 15 of July , 2008 at 7:54 pm

I’ve found myself in a deep deep hole surrounded by a balance owing that I most certainly cannot pay off with one paycheck. The first few months with my credit card were great because to be honest, I made more than the limit my Visa had. However this was back when I was working full-time at the Pharmacy earning more money than I could of ever imagined. Now I am currently working at the Pharmacy once a week and at CB 3 times a week to make way for school. My love for working for my own money is something that seems only fair to me. I went a year and a half not being able to work (I was in the Philippines) and it was HORRIBLE. My Parents had to send me money and that not only made me feel like I’ve lost my independence but also pretty guilty. I hate having people pay for me, or having to owe people money just because. Anyway, I want to get back into my Debit only days and with Vancity’s free swiping privileges it seems only logical to do so. I’m going to budget my spending and pay off my credit card little by little - My credit should be absolutely amazing because I still pay it all off before the deadline, I just need to keep a bit of money in my debit for gas, and food. If only Ralph didn’t live so darn far and the Pharmacy wasn’t 30 minutes away - I’d be saving a lot on gas if everything was located within Richmond. Boo. I need to stop worrying about my funds and start saving for an apartment. My Dad’s offered to put a down payment on one for me however that is in a few years time. I’d at least like to save a wad of cash for myself in any time of emergency or if Ralph and I should ever find time to go on a vacation together. For now, we are content with our sleep overs but I’m sure after a while, we’d both just get too used to it (we almost already are). There are so many things that I want to do with my life and it just so happens today was the day that I finally realized that in order to survive the future, you’re going to have to have a great head start! Paying off my credit card is first on my to do list and then saving for my future aspirations. It’s about time I straightened up and stopped wasting my money on things that just don’t matter - Like magazines, overly priced food/drinks, and fast food (yuck). The other day I purchased some whole wheat bread with some strawberry jam. This is going to be the food that I am going to bring with me to work - I spend too much at the food court! Water in a bottle is going to be my only drink! I’ll start putting half of my paychecks towards my visa bill and keep the rest in my debit card for gas. I will immediately STOP using my credit card as well and when the time is right, I am going to start putting 25% of my paycheck towards my savings account. OOO I’m so excited! Anyway, thanks for reading, although I know this blog is a little boring. I am a changed Shopaholic with a DEBIT card with a limit that is properly suited for me (how much I make!).

Awaiting His Arrival

Writing by Rianna on Wednesday, 9 of July , 2008 at 6:03 am

Your Body Language

What do you do when you’re nervous?:
There are a number of things I do when I am nervous and I guarantee that these happen in the following sequence:

1. I bite the insides of my cheek. It sounds disgusting but all I really am doing is biting the left side of my cheek, making tsk tsk tsk noises.

2. If I have nail polish on, I begin to, unknowingly, chip the polish off. By the time I’ve gotten home, most of the polish would probably be off before bed time.

3. Scratch my head in confusion.
What do you do when you’re frustrated?:
Run my mouth until I am fully satisfied.

If you’re biting your lip, what does that usually mean about your mood?:
Like I said, it usually means I am nervous

How are you usually feeling when you cross your arms?:
I hardly cross my arms as odd as it sounds. I usually place my arms on my lap. If I have crossed my arms, I’m probably either really annoyed or pissed off.

What’s your mood if you are more quiet then usual?:
To be honest, I hardly ever am quiet. I have many friends who can attest to this. But during those rare moments of total and utter quietness, I’m probably asleep. LOL

When you’re fidgeting with your hands/other things?:
I am feeling really REALLY ill.

How do you sit when you’re totally relaxed?:
One leg on another chair HAAAAAAH.

What do you do when you want to everyone to know to leave you alone?:
I usually try to make myself look busy.

How do you laugh when you’re with your friends?:
Oh dear, remember Goofy? Yea, I laugh a whole lot like him.

When you’re with a crush/someone you’re flirting with?:
I hit and laugh and go, “okayyy” a lot. I still do this with R, hehe, he still makes me feel like a little school girl.

What are you doing with you’re hands when you’re bored?:
Playing with my DS or Brick Breaker on my Blackberry.

What does it mean when you tap/shake your foot?:
Haaah, funny story. I tap my foot ONLY when I’m listening to some overplayed gangsterlicious beat.

What do you do when you’re feeling insecure?:
NEVER INSECURE. Just a little shy.

What are you usually feeling when you start chewing on things?:
NERVOUSNESS!

Your People

Who makes you laugh the most?:
My Boyfriend!

Who has the cutest smile?:
My Boyfriend and my Bestfriend, MD.

Who has the dorkiest/worst laugh?:
Ralph’s is certainly the most dorkiest/worst laugh I have ever encountered. Well, his and MINE.

Who do you think would ditch you in a heartbeat for someone else?:
Ralph. He would certainly leave me any where by myself if another girl was offering him an endless supply of Harvey’s burgers. Hahahahaha.

Who are you totally comfortable with talking about anything?:
Ralph and the friends I have now.

Who annoys the heck out of you but you put up with it anyways?:
I’ve gotten rid of the people who are too annoying for words. Haha.

Who do you know loves you unconditionally?:
My Family, my Dog (I hope!), my closest girlfriends (you know who you people are) and Ralph.

Who has told you they love you?:
By millions of people however 75 percent of them were drunk along side with me. Oh great times.

Who has told you they hate you?:
No one important.

Who do you hate [if anybody]?:
2 people who I will keep anonymous.

Who do you [secretly] consider your favorite person in the world?:
I have to choose JUST ONE? Are you crazy?

Mother, Father, Ralph, Ralph’s family.

Who do you hang around most?:
Ralph and my Parents.

Just General

What are you doing today?:
This morning I got a call from my CB Manager informing me of all the new arrivals! OH I LOVE HER! Got ready, met up with my Mom, visited Costa to check out all the new arrivals! They were GREAT! Went to school, took some notes, whilst thinking too much of the new arrivals, left class to call my manager and tell her to put a bunch of stuff I liked on hold. Now, I am at home awaiting Ralph’s arrival so we can go get our grub on. Woohoo!

What are you doing tomorrow?:
Working :) AT CB! <3

Do you keep to-do lists?:
Yes, on my Blackberry!

Do you miss someone? Who?:
Ralph and my Parents.

Do you play online games?:
No.

What’s the last line of a song you heard?:
T-H-I-R-S-T-Y, YOU’RE SO THIRSTY, YOU’RE SO THIRSTY, COME AND GET ME, COME AND GET ME.

What did you eat last?:
SAMOSAS.

Are you bored?:
Nope. Answering questions is a job that easily cures my boredom.

What do you feel like doing right now?:
Being in California, shopping, swimming, and living the life.

How does someone know you’re annoyed at them?:
I’m positive this person knows.

How many best friends do you have?:
Many :) Who I love with all of my heart.

Can you name them?:
Not right now, Ralph’s here! PERFECT TIMING! SEE YA

Some More Shopping

Writing by Rianna on Friday, 4 of July , 2008 at 5:51 pm

It seems that, every shift I get at CB, I feel a mandatory obligation to purchase another outfit. I haven’t yet worn any outfit in repeat, since after all, my whole closet is infested with anything and everything CB. There are only a few garments I’ve purchased over the few weeks that have not been from CB but unfortunately CB does not carry any beach wear and so, I had to peek around at the other stores. SHUDDER. Anyway, yesterday I finally purchased that to-the-floor-length-dress - I call it the “African Lover’s Dress” because of it’s beautiful color twists of orange, royal blue, white and light brown. I’ve been contemplating every shift as to whether or not I should purchase it and yesterday was finally the day I decided to once again, swipe my beautiful credit card. It’s VERY different from anything I’d purchase, in the current season and comfortable. Fortunately for me, our store was just delivered about 6 big boxes of new stock. My sweet heart of a Manager pulled them all out yesterday and I watched in awe as new dresses, new shirts and new pants made their way out onto the floor, ready for purchase. Too bad I had a project due yesterday because I would’ve stayed and tried them all on! Anyway, this evening I’m closing, more than excited (hehe) because I was just taught yesterday how to close and I’m curious as to whether or not I’ve forgotten what my Manager has taught me. I love testing out my skills.

I’ve got many errands to run today before my shift at CB.

1. Cash pay check from CB today

2. Pay towards credit card

3. Return my overdue books at the RPL today (bad!)

4. Pay my ridiculously expensive Blackberry bill

5. If not a broke joke, GO SHOPPING! (hooray!)

Anyway, I’m going to leave you with some photos of some of the new shipment that CB has received. If you want to see the rest of them, feel free to visit

www.costablanca.ca

I WANTS:

JERSEY SHAWL WRAP (BOUGHT!)

FLUTTER SLEEVE TUNIC (IF ONLY IT CAME IN OFF-WHITE!!)

JOSEPHINE CRINKLE CUT JEAN

FRENCH TERRY JACKET

PLAID BELTED TRENCH

I love shopping.

Rianna Don’t Forget You’r MM1 HW!

Writing by Rianna on Wednesday, 2 of July , 2008 at 8:33 am

First of all, I’d like to greet every Canadian out there a Happy Canada day! I had to work the entire day and was in a really pissy mood for the first 3 hours but I constantly reminded myself over and over that I was getting time and a half at the Pharmacy today. More shopping for moi! Woohoo!

I still laugh at myself every time I try to attempt to sound like I know what I’m doing when I’m testing out Diabetic Devices for the customers who are in the market for them. This afternoon I was given that task and although I thought I sounded like a complete nervous wreck, the customer bought everything. Hah, I must of done something right.

Alls well that ends well! I am super exited to work at Costa tomorrow. I visited the other day to sign my Managers birthday card and to help pitch in for supplies and presents. :) It’s going to be another 1pm to 9pm shift for me but we’ve got at least 5 boxes of new clothes that haven’t been open yet! I have no idea what I am going to wear tomorrow. Maybe I’ll go early and buy a whole new outfit like I did last week… Maybe. Geez!

The Marfori Clan all met up for a swim at Second Beach on Sunday. It was tres fun! I couldn’t be any happier because to be honest, I have a little too much fun when I’m with my Boyfriends family. Since most of my family either reside in the Philippines or the States, Family gatherings is a rare occasion. However,  my Boyfriend has a huge family here in Canada and I am always so happy to spend some time with them because for the many years we’ve been together, I’ve grown to love and adore his Family as if they were my own. I love swimming!

I’ve got to get myself back on track. I’ve got to pay my dues (credit card), stop being so irresponsible with my money and focus more time and effort on school! I’ve got the perfect 4 days of opportunity coming along, it’s in the forecast that there will be 4 days of cold and rain this week! Never thought I’d say this but, “HOORAY!” I’ve been so distracted with the great weather lately that I’ve barely opened a book. GOTTA FOCUS RIRI, GOTTA FOCUS.

I’ve been having weird dreams lately. Dreams that feel SO real that when I wake up, I can still feel the happiness within me. I love happy dreams, especially about the people I love. Heehee.

I purchased, “Drop Dead Beautiful” by Jackie Colins the other day. I am nearly finished and I am pretty angry that I left it in my car. I want to know what will become of Ace and Max and what’s going to happen to Lucky’s new hotel (which sounds like a dream!). To be honest, Lennie and Lucky’s marriage reminds me a whole lot like Ralph and I’s relationship. As I continue to read, it makes me realize how lucky I am to have a man like him in my life. Super lucky. Anyway, the book is a good read! Oh, it’s rated R! If you know what I mean! Hah! I read Ralph a disgusting chapter and he laughed all the way though. Even I couldn’t imagine how utterly crazy it sounded! These mobster, hollywood celebrities are nuts I tell you! NUTS!

I am in the market for:

1. A brown boho bag

2. A clutch

3. Straight extensions

4. Sunglasses

5. SHOES

Okay, back to reality. I need to start getting my MM1 project over with. Tomorrow, I promise!

Weekend Checklist (EDIT)

Writing by Rianna on Sunday, 29 of June , 2008 at 9:35 am

- Pay for my Blackberry bill (which I’m positive will amount to $150 - ugh) - Friday

I got it just the other day and I am super happy that it only turned out to be $120! Hahaha

- Pay credit card -Friday

- Spend at least $100 (with my discount) at Costa - Friday

- Dinner at Cac with L & P - Friday

We had our dinner at the Cac on Marine and to tell you the truth, the food sucked, however the area and the ambiance of the whole resto was tres chiq. It was fun and full of really interesting looking people. I think this is the best Cac that I have ever ate at! I totally guarantee that you will fall in love with the whole look of the resto. The washrooms were pretty awesome too. Hah

- Tanning (to get my pale legs to match with my dark face) with A - Sunday

I was pleased with my 12 minutes on the bed. VERY PLEASED. The results were better than I expected and I am not one shade darker and with an even skin tone. What a relief.

- Second Beach with my Sister, her daughter, Boyfriend and who ever else - Sunday

HOLY CRAP. Stupid me jumped into the pool without putting on sun screen. I am now officially burnt. I HATE IT! The parking was a bitch and there were many bitch drivers around. Boo on them. Anyway, swimming was fun. We learned one lesson today: ALWAYS GO TO SECOND BEACH EARLY.

- Site seeing, shopping and getting better acquainted with Boyfriend’s family who just arrived from Killa Kali for a visit - Sunday

We didn’t do any site seeing or shopping but I did get well acquainted with them all. Our attempt to watch “Wanted” at the theaters was a failure 1, because the 9pm showing was sold out and 2, when we finally decided to watch the 10pm showing the AC died in the whole theater. Oh well, guess it wasn’t meant to be! We’re watching it tomorrow though so it is all good!

- Finish homework, especially for MM1, Case is due on Thursday! - Sunday

Road Rage

Writing by Rianna on Sunday, 29 of June , 2008 at 9:27 am

I cannot stand stupid drivers. I cannot stress enough how much I despise them. Today on my way to work, there was a huge accident that happened along Highway 91. According to my Dad (boyfriend’s Dad), a garbage truck exploded while on the road! I never actually did see the truck but I did see the 20+ people walking around the Highway which was an odd site for any on coming traffic. Pedestrians? On a Highway? Walking? Hanging out? WEIRD! Fortunately for me, I was near an exit and a line of cars on my right were turning around to avoid the hour long wait on the Highway. Anyway, I followed the rest of the cars in front of me and decided to turn back (on a one way street) and take the exit to the Knight bridge. As we were all backing up, the car in front of me decided not to wait and so I was caught in between lanes, blocking about 10 cars. That wouldn’t of happened if that MOFO didn’t decide to cut in front of me. I honked, cussed and bitched like crazy. LOL. What can I say? I’m an Road Bitch, especially to those idiots out there who call themselves “good drivers”. Any individual with a teeny bit of common sense would KNOW that cutting in front of someone while they are going back into reverse is a dumb decision. It’s like someone backing into parking and the other driver stealing it while the other driver is trying to get into position. IMAGINE THAT. Anyway, I felt better after a while because I managed not to be late for work at the Pharmacy.

Asia

Writing by Rianna on Thursday, 26 of June , 2008 at 6:18 pm

So for those of you who kept track of the hit reality show entitled, “The Search for the Next PCD.” Then you’d remember that Asia won the title and was therefore dubbed the next PCD. However I just recently watched one of PCD’s new videos, entitled “When I grow up” (great song by the way - http://www.muchmusic.com/) and I did not see Asia in the video. I was curious and so I started to do some research and ultimately found a source, that I cannot dub reliable though some-what believable.

According to the source, Asia quit PCD to pursue a solo career.

Everyone is upset at the girl, although I don’t know why. Sometimes Hollywood gossip is so manipulative. Asia’s been getting nothing but hate her whole way through the lime light. Poor girl. Anyway, just thought I’d share because I loved the show and I am a huge fan of Girlicious - So is the boyfriend.

This leaves me with 2 questions:

1. Did she really leave to pursue a solo career? If so, when is her debut CD coming out? Or

2. Was she forced to leave because honestly, standing next to the original PCD’s made her stand out, not in a good way, and she was criticized over and over by fans for taking the place of the rightful winner, Melissa R (which was too much of an obvious contender if you ask me). Also there was a group on Facebook exclaiming that they’d boycott PCD if Asia were to stay in the group. Ugh, why are people so mean. I was proud that she won and although she didn’t seem to fit right in, she was what Robin was looking for and let it be that.

Oh and by the way, it’s not “I want to have boobies” its, “I want to have groupies”. OMG

Sunglasses

Writing by Rianna on Thursday, 26 of June , 2008 at 7:50 am

I don’t care too much for accessories however when it comes to Sunglasses, well, that’s a whole other genre of accessories for me. Sunglasses to me are accessories that are a necessity in every Woman’s purse, car, LIFE. Ever since I was a young tot I’ve always had this infatuation for them and have always carried a pair. I’ve never been so very reliant on them until I saw Nicole Richie sporting probably the most perfect pair of sunglasses that I have ever seen. Nicole introduced the whole “over sized” retro look to me and with that, I fell instantly in love.

Ted Lapidus style - This was my very first pair of over sized vintage sun wear. To me, they are the most perfect pair of sunglasses I own. Though my collection of over sized sunnies has expanded, I still reach for these first when I’m in my car.

www.bleudame.com

So here’s the issue. I’ve got about 15 over sized sunglasses sitting in my car and of course, you can really only wear one pair. I’ve been told by my friends to purchase a pair of real ones already and I haven’t been able to find the perfect pair. Part of the reason is also because most of the ones I’ve looked at cost over $300 and that really doesn’t seem to work with my paycheck and credit card. I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t work out with my Mother, and Boyfriend if they knew what I was lingering my next purchase decision towards. Silly me, expensive sunglasses are for the people who make a lot of mula! I work 2 jobs and believe me, both of them combined isn’t enough for my more than morbid shopping habits.

I found a pair of JLO sunglasses today that were over sized vintages and they were perhaps the most flashiest pair I have ever seen. I have never been one to own anything with gems on them and have always thought, in my opinion, gems were a little too much however this pair was gorgeous and it looked even better on. I felt like a Diva and between you and me, I liked it. Heeehee.

So I managed to find a few sunglasses online on shop.nordstrom.com and looking at all the pretty shades makes me want to swipe my card, or rather, type in my number.. I love online shopping.

To be honest with all of you, I am really waiting for Nicole Richie to come out with a line of her own sunglasses, which by the way I heard is currently in the works. I also find Victoria Beckham’s shades quite appealing and I am also waiting for her brand VB to come out here in Vancouver. I’ve been having trouble finding that brand here however I know it will eventually make its way here soon.

I can’t wait. *SMILES*
